Tappan Zee Bridge

Tutor Perini Corporation completed the removal and replacement of the structural deck and parapet for two lanes of the northbound and southbound sections of the west causeway and main span of the Tappan Zee Bridge. The major structural work was completed substantially during night shifts without significant interruption to traffic. The construction force overcame numerous obstacles involving the existing structure, and accelerated major portions of the work to meet the owner’s needs.
