Long Island Expressway & Cross Island Parkway Interchange

At an original value of $147 million, the 1.8 mile LIE/CIP Interchange Improvement Project included 14 new bridge structures. Four of these were within the LIE/CIP interchange, replacing the LIE bridge over the CIP, three were replacement structures over the LIE, and others were widened and rehabilitated. Four new pedestrian bridges were added within the interchange. Travel lanes were added to the LIE, two improvements made to two existing loop ramps at the CIP, detention ponds added, and existing pavements were milled and overlaid.
